Miss Fashionista's 2nd step to enhancing your wardrobe

Diva's, Proportion!! Proportion!! Proportion!! That is the next step in understanding your style and upgrading your wardrobe. Everyone has a form and a portion to their body. When dressing you must match that with wearing proportionate clothing. Wearing to big of clothes just looks sloppy and when you wear clothes that are to small it looks hideous. Your clothes need to fit properly.

Do not become fascinated with the Size numbers. You may wear a size 8 in Levis jeans and then a size 6 in a Levis jeans. It is vital that when you go shopping you try on the clothes to make sure the garments fit properly. Look yourself in the mirror and see what your silhouette is:
  • Long waist but short legs
  • short waist but long legs
  • Big busted
  • Small bust
  • Have a muffin top
  • Bottom Heavy
  • Short
  • Tall
Some things you can look at when you hit the mall
Long waist but short legs:
Here we want to create an illusion of longer legs to balance out your sillouete. Think about purchasing some cute heels that will give you some height, belts, and jeans will also bring a taller look as well. just enough to proportion your body. There is nothing wrong with your beautiful short legs but remember proportion we don't want you to look frumpy.
Short waist and long legs
Long legs are beautiful show them off. Stay away from high waist pants and horizontal patterns. You want to buy shirts that hit the hip to elongate your waist.

Big Busted
If you are big busted be proud of your girls. Don't try to make your shape disappear. What you do want to do is focus on lengthening your torso and neck. While shopping look for collars that are narrow and look for tops that are dark colored. When looking at pants you want to look for a more of a lighter color. When shopping for skirts light colors are really for you!

Small Bust
Here if you are small bust and and small at the bottom then you are safe because you have a balance between your body parts. Now if you have little bottom heavy but you have a small bust look at some wide collars and lapels. This will gives the illusion of a bigger bust. Also don't shy away from a padded bra.

Muffin Top
Tunics! Tunics! Tunics! This draws attention away from the stomach and brings it to your neck. Cardigans and long jackets also help. Remember when I say long jackets, I mean length but it still has to fit you. You don't want to look like a frumpy Diva. When wearing a pant you want a smooth front instead of one with a pleat it adds on to the muffin tummy.

Bottom Heavy
There is nothing wrong with your curves but you don't want your curves to get all out of place. Here you want to emphasize your shoulders to take away the attention from your hips.
Dark colors work best with your silhouette. Skirts and dresses are great with your figure. Your figure actually puts a nice shape to the dress.

Short
High waist pants and skirts are your friend! Get you a nice heel. Stay away from cropped jackets.

Tall
In my search of looking for clothes for tall women I found that they are more expensive. That is okay because there are all kinds of deals out there on the internet. Wide belts and flared skirts are a great option for you.
